Shocking Footage Captures Moment Officers Suffer Blade Attacks in Surprise Attack
One ranking policeman who jumped to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a blade-wielder received the Monarch's Honor for Courage.
Sergeant Tim Ansell grappled with 27-yr-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he held a knife to the neck of his fellow officer Sergeant Marc Foster.
Brown began the violence as the law enforcement personnel and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist following a traffic accident in that location in July 2023.
Brown stabbed and slashed the two Sergeant Ansell and Sgt Foster prior to Police Constable Wolstencroft stopped him with a Taser.

Bodyworn and dashboard camera recording released by the agency depicted Brown, wearing in dark clothing with a hood covering head, run up to Sgt Foster from behind with a blade extended.
He collided with the policeman who stumbled and went down to the pavement, after which Sergeant Ansell stepped in and attempted to subdue him to the pavement although being multiple times hit with the weapon.
PC Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and awaited a clear shot, ending the struggle to an end.
Sergeant Ansell was heard stating: "I need help on my neck now, I've been stabbed in the neck."
Sergeant Ansell sustained two deep cuts to his neck and additional injuries to his arms and torso, while Sergeant Foster received cut injuries.
Officials stated Sgt Foster employed his hands to stem his partner's bleeding prior to paramedics arrived.
This most recent award follows subsequent to the trio of policemen received organizational Courage Honors in fall 2023 and the police federation award from the local Police Federation in spring 2024.
They additionally received a North West Courage Honor in July 2024.
"The actions of all three officers eventually saved themselves and ensured no members of the public experienced any injuries."
Brown was given to an secure medical confinement in spring 2024, as stated by the department.
